Nocturne For Pit is a unique artistic experience initiated by the Lebanese installation artist Ilaria Lupo, in collaboration with electronic maverick Rabih Beaini in the desert of Hafeera. Beaini engaged with a quarry site’s workers after contextual research - in particular on Fidjeri, the complex vocal music of the local pearl divers, which embodies a pivotal history of labor in the region. The project, especially conceived for The Bahrain National Quarry, encapsulated a wide perspective on the region with performance by labourers of the quarry, and a light show conceived by Federico Nitti.
The brief was to visually represent this original and unique event by creating on-site branding, an event booklet, as well as a poster series for the after party.
