Dubai's second edition of Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp 2016 called out 'creation', 'celebration' and 'collaboration' as the three tenets that are responsible for the evolution of music. The design story was inspired from the idea that, when artists join forces, their organically distinct approaches to music, makes the end result hard to predict and that much more elusive.
Our task was to reflect the spirit of collaboration, by throwing light on the very nature of it- 'organised chaos'. We deconstructed the classic music equalizer, and used 3D programming to manipulate the movement of abstract shapes, along with their organic points of interaction. Our graphic assets were results of randomised programming, making every visual different- a unique collection of shapes, much like the collaborative spirit of artists.
